Ready To Explore The World With Rosegal

summer outfit fashion post rosegal playsuit

2016 sees two major fashion trends: red dominates as the colour of the moment (Little Red Dress) and stripes have their big comeback. Reinvented as a form of colour blocking, stripes have been everywhere, particularly in jumpsuits and rompers. From Zara to ASOS, you can shop the pyjama like pieces and for today's post, I'd like to show you where I got mine from.

Online retailer Rosegal* recently reached out to me and asked, if I wanted to try their services and review their clothing. As I always like to discover new fashion destinations away from the familiar British HS where everyone shops, I agreed happily to the collaboration.

Ordering & Delivery With Rosegal

Rosegal's collection contains beautiful summer dresses, swimwear, accessories and a wide range of shoes and different styles. Browsing might feel overwhelming as there are tonnes of products on the site, so it took me a good while to go through everything. The clothes are all well presented on site so it was also a tough choice to decide for items!

Navigating around the category pages was easy and pretty straightforward. You simply add your desired items to a virtual cart and pay at the checkout after you've signed up to a free account. During the checkout, you have a variety of payment options available.

My order was placed at the end of June and arrived within two weeks which was pretty fast given the fact Rosegal is an overseas retailer.

My Rosegal Package

My clothes arrived in one single messenger bag which was unbranded, so at first, I couldn't identify where the parcel came from. Unfortunately, there wasn't an order confirmation listing all of the products inside the parcel which would have made it easier to identify the order.

The clothes were all packed separately in plastic bags. At first, I thought they may have just squashed them all in, but luckily the material of most of the items is kind of crease-resistant, so the clothes haven't got that many wrinkles.

Quality, Price & Sizing from Rosegal

Well, the sizing is Chinese which is always a HUGE gamble, but the provided sizing chart and measurement guides on their website were quite accurate so all of my ordered pieces fit. The material is comparable to polyester but has less of that plastic feeling to it. In terms of pricing, I find Rosegal affordable. From as little as £5 onwards you can shop for accessories, dresses and shoes.

For today's post, I've decided to style my cream coloured romper for a day out exploring the world. Alex bought me an Olympus Pen for my birthday. Perfect to go out and play around with the camera and find style spiration! The romper itself is quite short, that's why I teamed it up with tights. An inch longer would have been perfect but I think I can be already lucky that I fit into it with my long legs, as Chinese sizing fits usually very petite, right?

My jewellery, as usual, is kept minimal and classy with a golden geometric necklace from Orelia and my bangles from Whistle & Bango. The first one carries my initials "CS" whereas the green coloured one carries the roman numeral "14" (my lucky number). Those roman numeral bangles have been launched a few weeks ago and I was lucky to get my hands on one of them as they come in a super limited edition of only 100 individual bangles. Together they pick up the colour blocking effect of the stripes which I feel goes well with the romper. What do you reckon?

Here's What I'm Wearing:
Stripey Playsuit: Rosegal* ($15 ~ £11, current season)
Bangles*: London jewellery brand (£89 each)
Camera: Olympus Pen E-PL-7 in grey
Fedora: Primark (£8, SS15)
Wedges: Jones Bootmaker (AW sale 16, £50)
Necklace: Orelia* (£18)

Thanks so much for reading,

Till next time,
