Street Art Meets Black Chic

Street Art Bankside London Fashion
Karen and I attended last week's Blogger Fashion Week (BLFW) organised by Danielle from the Bloggers Hangout. The venue was a lovely loft at the OXO tower overlooking the Thames. We meet fellow bloggers and chatted to amazing brands. I really enjoyed the event as the venue was perfect and attendances were asked to dress to the code: Black Chic.

A Fashion Find In Primark

Primark Black Dress with eyelet details
Primark Fashion

I originally had this ootd planned for BLFW and made some last-minute changes when I went to Birmingham and popped into Primark. I used to love Primark back in the days of 2008/2009. Ever since most of their designs and materials haven't appealed to me at all. Until recently.

Primark has upped their game and slowly reconquer my fashion heart. I made a bargain with a 100% wool fedora which usually comes at around £30 onwards. Well, fortune has it that I made another fashion find in the Birmingham branch. Totally unexpected.

The Birmingham Primark is awful. It is messy, it is busy, it is so unattractive, yet every time I have to go in just for the sake of it. And what caught my eye straight when I went in? This amazing faux suede leather dress with decorative eyelets. I find eyelets very intriguing and stylish, more than studs to be honest. The fine detail makes this LBD so sophisticated. The faux suede leather has a soft touch and the dress has a flattering shape and cut. So surprised really that it is from Primark and not from Topshop as Karen suggested.

I teamed it up with my studded flats from New Look and a tan coloured bag from Stradivarius. You may recognise the location from my recent Street Art Meets Chocolate post. The graffiti is near the National Theatre/Bankside/Waterloo Bridge and a wonderful location to shoot ootd pictures. It is a quirky and quiet place despite bankside being so close. Love shooting pictures here and it won't be my last time :)
